It is now official Rob and the Team will be racing the IHRA Nitro Jam at Grand Bend Motorplex. They will be racing Welland, Ontario's Larry Dobbs twice Saturday and Twice on Sunday. As always we will be selling tickets at a discount for our fans, sponsors and friends only this year with a twist. This year everyone who purchases a ticket from the Atchison Racing Team will have a chance to win some real cool gifts from our sponsors, race tickets for Labor Day at Grand Bend Motorplex and Tee-Shirts from the race team.

    The more tickets we sell the better chance we will have of returning next year as we tell Grand Bend and IHRA that we are wanted at their race. Rob is extremely excited about being able to race at Grand Bend and he will also be competing in Edmonton at the IHRA Rocky Mountain Nationals. The more tickets we sell the better it is for the team.
    We are trying to work out a deal with IHRA so that 2 lucky ticket purchasers will be able to go to the starting line and feel the thrill of standing there as 2 Top Fuel Cars launch as well as Rob and Larry.

Rob and the Team Ace Racing Monte Carlo will be racing April 16-18 at the Strip in Vegas at the NHRA Summit.com Nationals.This falls on the heels of the NHRA Div. 7 Race that was cancelled due to poor track conditions during the Feb 26-28th weekend. After Las Vegas the team will return to the East and race the NHRA Div. 3 race with the Atchison Machine Monte Carlo at Summit Motorsports Park May 14-16 before heading back to Mission in NHRA Div. 6 with the Team Ace Racing Monte Carlo May28-30.

Rob Atchison and ACE Manufacturing new paint job made their debut a car show in Edmonton area last weekend. The photos taken by Sheryl Ogonoski show the new look for the Western car which will be all decaled up for the Powerama in Edmonton. Sheryl stated the lighting at the show didn't allow her to show the rich paint job applied by Joey's Place in Edmonton.

The cars are ready run and the May start is only a bit away. " I called Mark Thomas on Friday and said that shouldn't we be doing something this weekend? " stated Rob. It seems odd we are not racing after all the years of running IHRA they have decided not to run Funny Cars. The team will compete extensively throughout the NHRA Lucas Oil Division races with the IHRA Rocky Mountain Nationals featuring Alcohol funny cars and the team is in negotiations with Grand Bend and IHRA to run the cars there.
